That would depend on the free bore in your rifle and the length of your magazine. If you did not need to use a magazine then over length would not be a problem. The M17 magazine is a little longer. Nick Harvey’s Practical reloading manual puts Max Case lenght at 56.45mm and Trim to Length of Case 56.20 mm. Ron
