Owen Guns Bulletin Edition 80 May 2013

CALL TO REMOVE QPS IMPOSED PTA $32.20 FEE & PTA FORM.
I Won’t Be On The Police Minister Christmas Card List After He Reads This.
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-04-30/qld- gun-amnesty/4660422
Tue Apr 30, 2013 1:49pm
I normally don’t bother you with a Bulletin until the end of the month, but because of the response of the Minister of Police to our call for the ending of the PTA debacle, due to the Amnesty example proving that it was legislatively un necessary, I had to report this to you, so you could immediately respond.
On Tuesday the last day of the Queensland Firearm Amnesty I was invited to make a pre recording for the ABC News. (See Link above) It was only for a few minutes and I wanted to establish that the main point of the Amnesty was the fact that the Queensland Police Service could allow firearms to be registered to Shooters licences by licenced dealers. That 10,900 had been done that way in the previous 3 months it was the major function and activity of the amnesty. I pointed out that, no legislation changes were needed if it was possible for the previous 3 months it was possible to continue this system indefinitely and do away with the imposition of the Permit to Acquire system which for each registration cost $32.20 and in many cases many weeks wait, and expends many hours of police department staff.
Neroli Roocke the radio journalist was right on the ball, she understood perfectly that if it was possible for the registration to be done on the spot, with no change to the legislation and for that to be carried out for 3 months then the delayed PTA system was just an imposition, like a fine for being innocent. I explained to her that the Amnesty proclamation was just a provision in the Weapons Act 1990 section 168B that had not changed any legislation on registration or the paperwork involved, that the PTA was just an application fee and form and that it was only up to the Queensland Police to demand it. Obviously, they had just proved that they could function without the PTA, without any legislative changes. So why at the end of the Amnesty should the Queensland Police impose it on the public of Queensland. There was no date in the legislation for the removal of the PTA system and then imposed it again on the 1st of May 2013, as the legislation itself does not impose it at all, it is just a requirement of the Queensland Police and the Regulations only allow the $32.20 fee to be charged for the application.
At about 1.45 she had the Minister for Police Mr Jack Dempsey one air, he made statements such as,
“People are bring in 202s to 303s, single repeat firearms, after today if your caught with a concealable in your possession you will be going to jail for a minimum of one year. He said that the busiest section had been in North Coast area, other wise pretty even. The majority have come into licenced Dealers.
Then Neroli Roocke played him an edited and shortened recording of her discussion with me. I described the two systems the PTA, pay $32 and wait and the one registration form for the amnesty where a dealer establishes that they the category of firearm is on the licence and then fills out the form with firearm details, fax’s it away to QPS, gives the customer a copy and customer leaves with his firearm.
Neroli Roocke said,
“Mr Dempsey what do you think about making that change, getting rid of the Permit to Acquire for existing licenced gun owners”
Jack Dempsey said,
“There are certain aspects, I actually agree with Mr Owen in relation to getting rid of some of the bureaucracy, and that’s what they have done since we have got in to government, we set up for the first time in Queensland a Weapons Advisory Panel, that actually meets in with the Federal Advisory Panel and a part of that Panels constant meetings is getting a balance without compromising the stringent checks and balances required to get a licence.”
Neroli Roocke,
“I guess he says it has been working for three months, can it continue as a permanent change.”
Jack Dempsey,
“Then that’s exactly what we are looking at, as because we are modernising the computerising of the applying for a licence when we want to maintain the high standard. But the process of getting a licence we want to shorten because we understand there are still ways to improve it and will continue to look to improve it.”
Well that all sounded great, didn’t it? I had a few phone calls from people who thought that we had won, it would all happen Congratulations all round.
Unfortunately, once I had heard the recording of what Minister Jack Dempsey said, I realised it was just another fob off, that he did not understand anything about the Weapons Act legislation that he imposes on us. By what he said, even if he had the good intentions, he was to remote from our reality to act for us. He would only listen to his advisors, the Queensland Police Force. We had a politician here in Gympie some years ago, He was called, “The Mirror” as for twenty years when ever he was asked a question on anything , his answer was, “We are looking into it”.
This has been our best chance to remove the PTA system, as the example has now been well set. The only real mention of the Permit to Acquire System is in
Part 8 of the Weapons Regulation 1996 Section 55 Applying for permit to acquire
“An application for a permit to acquire may be made only— (a) at a police station or police establishment; or (b) in a way published on the QPS website including, for example, by submitting the application online.”
As this is not restrictive, it does not prohibit any other method of registration, this allows the Queensland Police to approve of any other method of registration that suits them. That is why they could accept registrations on the spot by Dealers, or by police stations during the Amnesty.
If our Police Minister had known this and truly wanted to cut the bureaucracy and expense out of his public service he could have said that, he could direct the Queensland Police Service to accept on the spot registrations from licenced firearm dealers, from that day on.
Of course, by either ignorance or guile he misled the listener’s as that 1 year mandatory jail sentence does not appear for just possession of a concealable firearm, the nearest to it in the Weapons Act is
50A Possession of unregistered firearms
(1) A licensee must not possess an unregistered firearm.
Maximum penalty, 120 penalty units.
Jack Dempsey mentions the Minsters Advisory Panel and says, “we set up for the first time in Queensland a Weapons Advisory Panel.”
There were Minister Advisory Panel on firearm legislation prior to the Weapons Act of 1990 and the Minister Advisory Panel was first legislated in Weapons Act 1990 in section 150 in amendment No. 41 section 27 1996. How could he Police Minister believe that his was the first? It never done much, but they have been meeting for years.
Jack Dempsey states, the Advisory Panel “that actually meets in with the Federal Advisory Panel.” I phoned and asked one of the panel members, he stated, “No they have not met with any Federal Advisory Panel”.
Even if they did, it would be totally incorrect for any influence on our State laws. We pay the Minister and our members of parliament to represent the people of Queensland and to do our bidding, they are not there to represent the wishes of the Federal government or its advisory panel.
Jack Dempsey states, “and a part of that Panels constant meetings is getting a balance without compromising the stringent checks and balances required to get a licence.” That would be nice, but is it misleading as the Panel is not “constant” it has not met since December 2012 and without notice cannot meet before June. Jack Dempsey says he is considering it, but in reality it is obvious that he will do nothing until we bring further attention to this imposition. The Queensland Police are basically imposing a $32.20 fine on every firearm transaction at their own violation. The Police who read the Weapons Act must be smugly laughing at us all. Please all contact your shooting organisations, you pay your dues ask them, what are they doing to protect your sport, your hobby and your way of life, have they made a submission to remove the PTA system? Could you see it please?
Please contact your local members of parliament and explain it to them. Don’t leave it for the others, only count on yourself as our complacent brothers and sisters are the real cause of our bondage. We all have to inform our shooting mates and motivate them.

Submission. Please Remove the QPS Imposed $32.20 Fee and Application Form.
Dear Sir,
Could you please reply and inform me why you have not yet directed your Department of the Queensland Police to register firearms to Queensland Shooters Licences without the Permit To Acquire and $32.20 fee? Why cannot Licenced Firearm Dealers register our firearm acquisitions in the same fashion as the 10,000 plus firearms registered between February to April 30th 2013, ‘On the Spot’, replacing the Permit to Acquire system? Please do not waste yours staffs time and our time with side stepping blather. As in your comments on ABC radio Tuesday 30th April, Re- Ministers Advisory Panel, which has not met for six months and if you don’t call the meeting will not meet at all. This has nothing to do with the panel, the Queensland Police have proved that they chose to either impose the PTA requirement, or not. Are you in charge of the Queensland Police, or not? If not please resign, so someone else can do the job properly. Please reply as soon as possible?
Yours Ron Owen.
President.
Please forward a copy of whatever you send to your local member of parliament, we must keep them informed of what is going on.

Norinco Model 213 ‘Tokargypt’ 9 shot Semi Auto The Model 213 original basis was designed by John Moses Browning, the world famous firearm designer. In the late 1920s the Colt /Browning mechanism was redesigned by Russian, Feoder Tokerev, simplified for mass production and chambered in the powerful 7.62×25. It used the Mod 1911 swinging link, short recoil system. To enable easy maintenance the hammer and lock mechanism can be removed as a single assemble. To improve the Browning feed system the ammunition feed lips are machined into the frame rather than relying on pressed tin. Which on a battlefield where magazines lips do not get the best attention is a great advantage in reliability and makes the magazines cheaper to produce. It was an extremely tough, reliable and powerful pistol and was later modified by Hungary for export to Egypt this was known as the Tokagypt. The pistol differs from the Tokarev in being chambered for the 9mm Parabellum, and a fitted safety catch ,WHICH IS USELESS, and should be thrown away as they have a very reliable half cock safety.
As can be seen by the inset photo the barrels and chambers are all chrome plated. It has a plastic wrap around grip stock, instead of the Tokerev ‘bakelite’ and a finger piece type floor plate on the magazine, which improves your chances of quickly getting it out and getting another one in after someone has rammed one in covered in mud. This M 213 Chinese also has a chrome plated barrel as shown in the above photograph. These are brand new unfired but have the usual scratch marks and rough corners as shown in the photographs. The steel is excellent and once a few surfaces, such as slides, are polished they are a slick an easy pointing pistol. Owen Guns Bulletin Edition 79 April 2013

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK.
END THE PTA SYSTEM.
From 1997, ‘Permits to Acquire’ (PTA) were needed to register a firearm on a Queensland Shooters Licence costing $30 to $32, with a wait from one month to eleven months. Many examples of missing at the police station, missing in Weapons licencing, missing in the post, returned to the wrong address and expired before corrected meant that it had to be paid for again.
Result =Hundreds of thousands of Unhappy Queenslanders.
All thinking people know that registration, or licencing of firearms does not save a life or solve a crime. In fact firearm controls have proved all over the world to be counter productive. Example
END THE PTA SYSTEM
ON THE SPOT
After nearly sixteen years, since the 1st February and up to the 30th April 2013, due to the Firearm Amnesty, Dealers have been registering firearms without ‘Permits to Acquire’(PTA), On the Spot. Between five and six thousand unregistered firearms have been registered by Queensland firearm dealers in the last three months, but on the 30th April 2013 it will cease.
Dealers Do the Job Anyway.
The firearm dealers do all the work even with the ‘PTA’ system, they identify the shooters licence with the person, the identify the firearm with the ‘PTA’, and the person, they enter it in or out of the police register that they have to keep by law. They forward all the information to the Queensland police so that they can enter it on to the Police computer. The $32.00 is just an imposition to prevent shooters from buying it too often. During the recent Amnesty the Dealers have written the persons Shooter Licence details on a form, identified the firearm on the counter in front of them, entered the details on the same form, included their licence details, photocopied the sheet, faxed it to Queensland Police, given a copy to the shooter. Job done. Shooter leaves the premises with his firearm. It has not cost the Queensland Police a brass razoo up to that point and they have all the details that they require.
Result to Date , Many thousands of Happy Queenslanders.
(The Dealer still has to enter firearms in and out and relay that information to the QPS in an archaic triplicate system.)
The Queensland Police will feel good about the Amnesty 95 % of the firearm I have seen registered or handed in have been ancient heirlooms, keepsakes of grandad, most with some missing parts, some with missing bolts, missing magazines, loose, unsafe and barely one in a hundred have not been rusty either inside or outside, or both.
On The Spot
The Amnesty has succeeded in one single point, it has proved that it is possible for Firearm Dealers to register the firearms to shooters licences, On the Spot” and the Queensland Police have coped with it in an easier fashion than the PTA system.
It raises a big question, “it has worked so why stop it, why not scrap the Permit To Acquire system?”
Well this question has to be raised, as any resistance to it, from the Queensland Police shows that it is a control imposition, a harassment and nothing more, as everyone now knows that it can all happen without it.
They may say that there has to be a 28 day cooling off period, well that period is well and truly taken up during the lengthy application for the Shooters Licence, these sometimes take months. The requirement is for a 28 day period, not a 28 day with the application for a licence and another 28 days with and application for a “Permit To Acquire” making it a 56 day period, or most times much longer. Queensland has been the only Australian state that has imposed these double periods it should cease immediately.
It will not change if You do not help make it happen.
You must do Three separate things.
1. You must write by mail or email to the Police Minister requesting;
“that Queensland Firearm Dealers continue to register firearms to Queensland Shooters Licences in the same fashion as they have been achieving between February to April 30th 2013, ‘On the Spot’, replacing the Permit to Acquire system.”
As simple as that. “that Queensland Firearm Dealers continue to register firearms to Queensland Shooters Licences in the same fashion as they have been achieving between February to April 30th 2013, ‘On the Spot’, replacing the Permit to Acquire system.”
Elaborate if you feel the need but please get that message by the 1000s to the Police Minister. Before they forget that this amnesty has occurred and that it was possible.
2. You must contact your shooting organisation, your club, or if more than one, all of them and ask to see there submission on this question, asking that the, “that Queensland Firearm Dealers continue to register firearms to Queensland Shooters Licences in the same fashion as they have been achieving between February to April 30th 2013, ‘On the Spot’, replacing the Permit to Acquire system.” If they have not put one in, or do not intend to put one in, similar to this, you need to leave that organisation and find another that will.
3. The last but most important is to spread this message by email, word of mouth, by facebook, twitter or any other means of communication. Put a poster up at your club, and gunshop surely all the fellow sufferers will send in a submission. We have to let them know we count for something. If only the over 7000 subscribers to this little Bulletin sent this short note, it would happen tomorrow.
The Submission from the Firearm Owners Association of Australia is below. That has been sent to the Minister.

“It’s a week since I received a copy of “Range Officers Hand Book” and since that time I am nearly at the half way mark. I’m amazed at the at the number of subjects you have covered making it one of the most informative books to be added to my collection. It must have taken you a considerable amount of time and experience to publish the book with information not available in other popular Gunsmith manuals. I would recommend the book to “Range Officers” and anyone interested in the sport of target shooting and hunting.” Regards Gene M Cornford P.O.Box 288, Kaeo 0448 N.Z. Thoughts for the week.
Many Queensland dealers received an email last week from Inspector Peter Assfalg the Manager of the Firearms and Weapons Amnesty a ‘name’ I am sure that shooters will hear a lot about in the future. He shoots, he is interested, intelligent, depending on heart and circumstance will dictate whether he makes a good mark on our fraternity, or a bad.
I suppose that if we supply him with more information we may affect the circumstance, and as I am sure he will read this missive there may be value in that. More so if we are all better informed and speak out to others make corrections in ‘letters to the editor’, Facebook and email chains we all affect circumstance. Even in a small way it changes our world as long as we all keep busy producing letters and passing them on.
Inspector Assfalg reported,
“We have reached the halfway mark for the amnesty ……..should continue until 30 April 2013.
Total number of Firearms processed under the amnesty as at 18/3/13 – 3203
– average of 70 Firearms per day (2004 Amnesty 59 average per day)
2538 Firearms have been registered – 79%
635 Firearms have been destroyed – 20%
30 Firearms are being held for safekeeping pending license application by the owners – 1%
2186 Firearms processed at non-police premises – 68% (FIREARM DEALERS)
3 Stolen firearms located…
Regards Peter Assfalg.
While its good that (hopefully) that 3 people may ( if they still have a licence) have their firearms returned to them. It hardly justifies the cost to the taxpayer for the millions that this individual exercise has cost, never mind the billions of dollars wasted on the registration system and the human misery it has caused the good responsible shooters of Queensland.
While I am sad that their might have been some good firearms in that 635 going for destruction there is a lot of good that might come out of this amnesty, if we campaign intelligently.
Firearms for registration and firearms for the purpose of destruction (Owen Guns never destroy anything, just put them into our parts or museum area) have mainly (99%) been only of sentimental value. I love to see customers freely registering Daisy Red Riders and Diana Model 1s, or Shanghai air rifles, or some of the better 100 year old single shot .22s that could be lethal at both ends. In those cases we inform them that they are not safe to shoot. Some of them the headspace is so sloppy only one shot in ten will go off. Comforting to know that another 2538 have freely been adding to the 600,000 or so on the Queensland registration list. 25 million for the computer program last time maybe 50 million next time.
So if you have an old clunker, or an air rifle that cost $8.00 35 years ago, or somthing that you dug up in the vegetable patch, even if it has no number or model number, or you cannot define a maker, or that it will not even work. If its not registered do the right thing and register it under the amnesty, we charge one dollar to cover the photocoping and the fax transmission. Take it to your local dealer and add to the government’s well deserved problem.
Eventually the rubber will have to hit the road, someone will realize that it is too expensive in man hours and taxpayer funds for absolutely no benefit. No assistance at all in saving a life or identifying a criminal. In fact if the truth be known not even identifying a firearm, as numbers are not specific to an individual firearm. Unless they come up with a completely new science they never will have that. Any half intelligent criminal could follow the examples of the criminal terrorist and manufacture the weapons they need.
Besides all that, there is another benefit for Queensland shooters in this amnesty. Besides the fact that the amnesty organisation has shown up Weapons Licensing Branch by producing a list of firearms of registered firearms to each shooter who has applied to put a firearm on their licence within 10 days. As with a PTA registration, that you pay Weapons Licencing $32.20 for, more than likely you will never recieve one, unless you phone plead, threaten and cajole.
The crucial point is that this system has employed the licensed firearm dealers in carrying out the registration process, (which they do anyway) but this system allows it, and makes it happen on the spot. The Dealer identify the owners shooters licence put the details on a form and then identifies the firearms details, includes it with his own details on the one sheet faxes it to the Amnesty number. Gives a copy to the owner. The owner takes his firearm home, on the spot. The staff at the amnesty type the details into their computer and send out the new list.
If they can do that with the amnesty they, ‘Weapons licencing’ can do it. That’s no cost, on the spot registration. If there is a problem the firearm, such it is stolen they have all the details and can pick it up at there convenience.
Inspector Peter Assfalg has shown and proved that it is possible. If they want to employ there hundreds of staff in more productive work they can do it, if they want to. If they just want to prove that they are ‘harassing’ the licenced shooters then they will continue with the PTA system. Licenced shooters are increasing in numbers at least 16% per year (try find a vacancy in a firearm course) they have all served out their 28 days waiting period they should not have to wait again for an obsolete PTA system.
Please all point this out to your local State representatives, your MP s the ones responsible to you as we all pay them to re – present your problems to parliament, write letters to the editor of your local paper if they do not intelligently respond. Local papers are their reflection in the re-election mirror. If you are consistent with the letters you will get much greater response from your local member. He may hate you, but he will take notice and re act which ever party he is in. If he opposed everything you say, his duty is still to represent you, and you are then telling all your neighbours that you will not vote for him due to this issue. This is the only way we can expect change for the better. Please strike a blow.

Congratulations to the people who struck a blow in Western Australia and worked very hard to get a seat in the Upper House for Rick Mazza from the Shooters & Fishers Party. This was there first try, we are all hoping for further successes.

Norinco Model 213 ‘Tokargypt’ 9 shot Semi Auto
The Model 213 original basis was designed by John Moses Browning, the world famous firearm designer.
The pistol differs from the Tokarev in being chambered for the 9mm Parabellum, and a fitted safety catch ,WHICH IS USELESS, and should be thrown away as the have a very reliable half cock safety.
The M 213 Chinese version of this also has a chrome plated barrel shown in the above photograph. These are brand new unfired but have the usual scratch marks and rough corners as shown in the photographs. As standard the barrels are a millimetre short for club licences so are fitted with a slightly longer barrel. The steel is excellent and once a few surfaces, such as slides, are polished they are a slick an easy pointing pistol. Eight rounds in the magazine.$369. each $700 for two. plus registered post and appropriate licences. If you want to order by mail Phone 07 54825070 have your card detail handy . Thoughts for the Week. SPEAK OUT NOW. Act together to Stop Gun Grabbers.
Example
A Courageous Letter from Olympic Arms, informing that they will no longer supply the State of New York with firearms.

Olympic Arms manufacture an AR15 that most of us here in Australia would give our left leg for. They call for all the U.S manufactures of firearms and ammunition to do like wise. Five companies, thus far, have communicated their intention not to sell to any police or government agencies in New York State. Barrett Firearms La Rue Tactical, Extreme Firepower Inc, LLC Templar Custom and York Arms have already pledged to do the same.
‘Guns Save Life’ is joining with ‘Grass Roots’ North Carolina in calling for all American gun owners to pressure Sig Sauer, Smith and Wesson and Glock to shut off sales to government agencies in New York State. Which would effectively disarm the New York Police Force. This could spread to the Federal Government, passing them the message that we should not have two classes of citizens in the country armed and dis armed.
This is the letter from their President.
“Legislation recently passed in the State of New York outlaws the AR15 and many other firearms, and will make it illegal for the good and free citizens of New York to own a large selection of legal and safe firearms and magazines. We feel as though the passage of this legislation exceeds the authority granted to the government of New York by its citizens, and violates the Constitution of the United States, ignoring such Supreme Court of The United States, rulings as District of Columbia v. Heller – 554, U.S. 570 of 2008, McDonald v. Chicago – 561 U.S. 3025 of 2010, and specifically the case of United States v. Miller – 307 U.S. 174 of 1939.
Due the passing of this legislation, Olympic Arms would like to announce that the State of New York, any Law Enforcement Departments, Law Enforcement Officers, First Responders within the State of New York, or any New York State government entity or employee of such an entity – will no longer be served as customers.
In short, Olympic Arms will no longer be doing business with the State of New York or any governmental entity or employee of such governmental entity within the State of New York – henceforth and until such legislation is repealed, and an apology made to the good people of the State of New York and the American people.
If the leaders of the State of New York are willing to limit the right of the free and law abiding citizens of New York to arm themselves as they see fit under the Rights enumerated to all citizens of the United State through the Second Amendment, we feel as though the legislators and government entities within the State of New York should have to abide by the same restrictions.
This action has caused a division of the people into classes: Those the government deems valuable enough to protect with modern firearms, and those whose lives have been deemed as having less value, and whom the government has decided do not deserve the right to protect themselves with the same firearms. Olympic Arms will not support such behavior or policy against any citizen of this great nation.
Olympic Arms invites all firearms manufacturers, distributors and firearms dealers to join us in this action to refuse to do business with the State of New York. We must stand together, or we shall surely fall divided.
Sincerely,
Brian Schuetz President Olympic Arms, Inc.
Wouldn’t that be great if all those manufactures could stick together and show that the good citizens are all equal under the Constitution, we are all not born equal some have more or less gifts than another, but government has to treat people equally they cannot deny property to one good citizen take his taxes off him by intimidation, threats, coercion, the fear of losing everything, and give his money to buy that property ‘firearms’ to his neighbours a powerful gang called the police. Its inspirational, that people can now see that there is a moral line that any government breaks when it decides to allow some citizens to defend themselves and others to leave defenceless. There is no justification for governments public servants to be more heavily armed than the law-abiding public they serve. Unless.. the government’s intention is to overpower, control, or enslave the law abiding public. Is That True?
Conflict of Interest? Who is On Our Side??
In Queensland the defenceless lost to the armed to the teeth Police, in 1997 and so again we have the total reverse of the above American situation. We have the number one government firearm supplier Robert Nioa, Nioa Trading, (supplier of Glock, just one example of Police equipment he supplies), sitting on the Ministerial Weapons Advisory Panel (that has supposedly the intention of following the LNP promise of reducing Red Tape by 20% from the Weapons Licencing Branch and reducing staff, and payrolls for the state by lessoning the impositions on the Licensed shooters) it is still meeting monthly with a few representatives of the shooting clubs.

Was this a Conflict of Interest? Politicans in the family, are money in the bank for the suppliers of Australia's Police Firearms.
As Robert Nioa other in- Law was Russel Cooper the Police Minister (who betrayed his promises and introduced the 1997 Gun laws) with his father William Nioa they were the co-ordinators and contractors for the Queensland Police corrupt Buy Back that ran for a year in 1997 busily disarming Queenslanders. They made many millions out of it.
Is Robert Going to Bite the Big Hand That Feeds His Company?
Since the government seceded to the demand of the left wing Queensland Police Union President Ian Leavers, and allowed the delegates of the Police Union on to Ministerial Weapons Advisory Panel (Ian who is looking forwards to a State pre-selection for a safe Labour seat) he is sometimes takes two other delegates to help bully the panel. It is reported that Robert Nioa’s best friends on the panal is the Police Union. Is Robert there supposedly to protect the interests of the Queensland Firearm Dealers, or to agree with all statements from his number one customer the Queensland Police? Which ever is the truth Robert Nioa, or no one else similarly placed should be put in a position of agreeing to, or opposing our rights to own property, our right to self defence our human rights whilst risking his business with his best customer. It is unfair to put him in that position, it is a natural conflict of interest.
It is reported that, when asked if he thought it too onerous for the Dealers to do a firearm audit once a year, his comment was that was just good business practice anyway. So every Dealer in Queensland will be forced to do the Police audit on the police form for the next twenty years. Which has no bearing on a dealers business systems such as MYOB at all. MYOB does not need to know magazine capacity, barrel length, calibre, category, action type. Robert has more than likely never done one, as he is not a dealer behind a counter he is a importer wholesaler/ customs bond store. The reason why the police minister asks these question as its Audits are superfluous information anyway the police already have it from the form 10s that the dealer has to submit and if the QPS was efficient, it could print it out what the Dealer had in stock in a few seconds, but as they do not have the staff to balance the audits, or even understand the differences in firearms, its all useless information anyway.
The Ministerial Weapons Advisory Panel have been informed by the Police Minister that he wants the panel to come up with a completely new act not just a re-write of the Weapons Act 1990, he want it refreshingly called the Firearms and Offensive Weapons Act 2013. Refreshing as it does not begin by accusing all firearms as weapons they are not all tools of war and are only weapons when they are used for assault. It would be even more refreshing if they began with the Firearms and Offensive Weapons Act of 1979 all 27 pages of it. Yes, that was no where near perfect we all complained about its misuse of power but it was a shining star in comparison with today’s mess.
Robert Nioa’s current suggestion is to just cut and paste the current Weapons Act (with regulations 600 pages) and tweek it around the edges. Robert has been very generous to his father in law’s Bob Katter’s Australia Party, is this another conflict as if the Minister Panel and the Liberal National Party ditch the archaic, pre diluvion long arm registration system Bob Katters Party will miss out on hundreds of thousand shooting supporters at the next election. Wouldn’t it be lovely if the Importer, and firearm trade in Australia followed the example of Olympic Arms and put their morale convictions before trading with the enemy??
If you do not complain about the impositions on you now, they will continue to move to impose more.
Tell your MPs. ‘Your Mad As Hell and your Not going to Sit and Take it Anymore.’
Hundreds or thousand of law-abiding firearm owners use our firearms safely and responsibly every day. We are mechanics, doctors, teachers, police officers, firemen, nurses, factory workers, and every other occupation you can name. We are a vast and too-often silent majority … and our rights are under attack again.
You have to be political they want your rights, they want your property and they want to take away your livelihood, your sport or your hobby. We need everyone’s voice to be heard!
Given the huge forces assembling against us, merely relying upon the lobbying efforts of a few organisations is completely insufficient. Law-abiding firearms owners must stand up and be heard. You cannot expect your local Gunshop or the Importers or the Dealers Association. This affects all of us, so we cannot stand idly by and rely upon others to fight, or lobby on our behalf. Too much is at stake. Write to your Members of Parliament now this very day,
To send by email follow these steps.
Step One: Please click on http://www.parliament.qld.gov.au/documents/Members/mailingLists/MEMLIST.pdf
as it is a full list of all Members of Parliament in Queensland, email address and phone numbers look yours up or send an email to all of them. These are the people that vote to place impositions on your rights. This is an easy way to tell your legislators you care more about your gun rights than his seat in parliament. Let him know, you want him, to represent you, to protect people like you, law abiding citizens who are being treated as Criminals if your renewal goes missing in the post. People like you who are fined for owning property, your firearms every time you have to re-new another licence. People like you who are fined $32. every time you need to buy a new firearm. It used to be criminals that were fined but now the State has changed its ideas and imposes its wrath on those who pay the taxes to pay the governments wages. We are the ones who have to act individually yet together at one time and turn this around. They have to realise we are the majority.
If you prefer, you can phone them or write to them a more personal letter by snail mail.
A Sample Letter.
Dear Sir/ or Madam.
You are one of my representative in parliament. At the last election a year ago or more, it was announced that the Weapons Act of 1990 and its Regulations were to be reviewed removing some of the imposed burdens on law abiding firearm owners. A year has gone bye and we are still treated as convicted criminals, convicted of being one of this states 350,000 firearm owners who has to prostrate themselves to the Queensland Police, pay to be pillaged, abused and ignored when we want to give them money for a renewal, a licence of a permit to acquire. They still list us all on Crim Trac. Well we still have a right to vote and we may have to find another party to vote for and remove the status quo again. If you don’t know how to do it, here is what I want you to do for your constituents;
It’s easy.
· Throw the Weapons Act of 1990 in the shredder,
· Disband the Queensland Police Firearms Registry
· Destroy all records of all registered firearms
· Save billions of tax-payer $$ on a system which has never worked and never will.
How easy is that?
Stop using my contributions of money to prop up a totally dysfunctional piece of legislation in the misguided pursuit of “public safety” . It works the opposite way, More Guns, equals less Crime. Stop making Criminals out of your law abiding citizens and spend our resources on keeping killers in jail and guarding our homes and businesses. Any law, regardless of what is, only ever works when people consciously elect to actually observe it. Criminals don’t ever consider firearm laws and never ever will. What are we paying taxes, licence renewals, permit to acquire for? Our own chains, when it catches no criminals and saves no ones life. In fact it is just a list the police can sell to criminals of who to rob and steal guns from. Please tell me what I and my friends are paying for. I would appreciate to be enlightened by the persons my contributions are paying to keep in a job.
Step Two: Get all your friends to help support our rights; pass this around and ask them to click on the link and send emails and letters too.
Many elected officials have been looking for an opportunity to curtail our firearm rights and think they can win now if they move quickly while world emotions are high. In Canberra Julia Gizzard and her cronies and in many state legislatures across the country, anti-gun forces are gathering and conspiring in an effort to pass bad legislation that will go beyond anything we have ever seen. At least one state legislature NSW has already passed a law enforcing the registration of all ammunition sales. You had a right to purchase property freely now that right has been taken from you. This is not just showing your licence but the dealer recording name licence number and what you have purchased. This will send a lot of local dealer to the wall as they cannot afford to pay extra staff to relay this information back to the government. Reality seems to be lost on politicians, so only votes count let them know, that you will be watching there vote in parliament on this subject which is closest to your heart.
Already these Police Lists have found there way into the hands of Criminal House breakers in NSW andVictoria. Stop it now before another Policeman sells the list.

Thought for the week.
Free Ammunition, Arm Yourselves With Facts and Logic.
“Men prefer to believe what they prefer to be true.” — Francis Bacon- (1561-1626) Philosopher, British Lord Chancellor
Most of us do not want to have anything to do with politics, most shooters are not active Labour or Liberal Party members, the majority of Australians have a natural aversion to politics in general but as soon as we purchase a firearm or begin shooting competition or hunting we put our foot into the political river and have to learn to swim against the current. Anything to do with firearm is politics, due to the fact that governments do not want you to have them, as they know that power comes from the barrel of a gun and want only their own sycophants to have them.
In days gone bye, law abiding shooters thought it only necessary to join a shooting organisation pay a fee, read about issues in the morning paper and leave the organisation to lobby for them, maybe sign a petition. If it did not work and they had to hand their treasured possessions in. Well, that was there organisations fault, they tell themselves, “I did my bit I paid my money and went to all the trouble to sign the petition”.
They don’t rejoin, they lost their property so they lost the reason to be in that organisation. Without ever thinking about why they lost.
“The news isn’t there to tell you what happened. It’s there to tell you what it wants you to hear or what it thinks you want to hear.” Joss Whedon,
The Australian media machine with government aid had a total monopoly on public information in 1997/1998 it was so strong it isolated, criticized, marginalised and destroyed all opposition to the mantra of Gun Control. That same sort of publicity machine is at full power in the USA at present and as well as punishing the innocent majority in the USA, the Law abiding Firearm Owners its power stretches across the world and punishes law abiding shooters in Australia. So much so, that we are forced to defend ourselves.
“No matter how big the lie; repeat it often enough and the masses will regard it as the truth.” John F. Kennedy
The heavy propaganda filling our newspapers and airwaves is eagerly agitated by politicians with their own self for filling agenda’s, it gets to be so strong that keen life time shooters, who are sick of being punished, (identified as potential child killers) then walk in and hand in all their treasured firearms. Mostly regretting it for the rest of their lives.
“We become slaves the moment we hand the keys to the definition of reality entirely over to someone else, whether it is a business, an economic theory, a political party, the White House, (Newsworld or CNN.)” B.W. Powe.
It is common to see an appeal to emotion, particularly fear, in propaganda campaigns; an example of this can be seen in public health campaigns
These Anti gun (propaganda) campaigners rely on human psychology, looking particularly at how people behave in groups, to develop effective campaigns that will reach their audiences. Some are more sophisticated than others, and many rely on subconscious biases that are already present in the general population. These can be exploited to make people feel a threatened in a certain way, triggering the desired response to the campaign. Appealing to a person’s emotions, changing people’s minds in a way that a thorough examination of the facts of an issue would not do.
Most of these news bulletins feature women speaking in seductive voices provide quotes and keep replaying photos of dead children. This can create a positive association with the information provided and provoke compliance with the directions of the campaign.
Propaganda will rely on forcing viewers to pick a side with the use of tools like black and white logic, where people are presented with only two available options, you are either a good or bad person if you do not accept how they see it, your bad, very bad. Another technique is a rhetorical proposition or trick which leaves the viewer with no way out. Such as, “If it only saves One Life, its worth it”, This ‘old stager’ was used against us in 1996 and was reiterated last week by Piers Morgan.
“Propaganda is as powerful as heroin; it surreptitiously dissolves all capacity to think.” Gil Courtemanche
Creators of propaganda will also create scapegoats, rely on stereotypes, and use labels or name calling to make the target of a campaign into a generic box called the “others” who threatens the familiar “us”. CNN and Sky place Law Abiding Firearm Owners into boxes using the same techniques as were used by Germany Hitler and Goebbels prior to World War II, where anti-Semitic campaigns were used against the Jewish public.
“Propaganda is to a democracy what the bludgeon is to a totalitarian state.” Noam Chomsky,
Creators and producers often stick to one or two simple points and repeat them frequently to make sure they sink in. They rely on very simplistic explanations in the hopes of reaching people and making them internalize and repeat the message. As Ozzy Osbourne once said in an interview with the New York Times: “I keep hearing this [expletive] thing that guns don’t kill people, but people kill people. If that’s the case, why do we give people guns when they go to war? Why not just send the people?”
The Anti Gun campaign media ignores the fact that if they sent just people they would still kill one another with the tools they were born with, their brains and their hands and feet. Instead, the Anti Gun media just keep repeating it. They chose to forget that he is a Satanist, has a group the Black Sabbath, encourages suicide in his songs, and is a self admitted Drug Addict. In 1981, Osbourne bit the head off a dove during a meeting with CBS Records executives in Los Angeles. Then spat the head out, with blood still dripping from his lips. On 20 January 1982, Osbourne bit the head off a bat while performing at the Des Moines, Iowa and had to be treated for suspected rabies. No, they promoted him as a peace loving pacifist, idolising him as being smart, because he is well off.
“It would not be impossible to prove with sufficient repetition and a psychological understanding of the people concerned that a square is in fact a circle. They are mere words, and words can be molded until they clothe ideas and disguise.” Joseph Goebbels
You may note, that the law abiding Firearm Owner is portrayed as an ultra right wing fascist type, even if it’s the ‘Jews for the Preservation of Firearm Ownership’. No one can think of a the name of the many hero’s who have prevented a mass killing, but just about everyone can think of a name of the dead beat killer or killers. Due to the Anti Gun media campaign which with every detail describes their personal life, their likes their habits their politics, idolising them into a demi god status on one hand and demonising the NRA, or the Shooters Union, or the JFPO as right wing extremists who are supposed to love killing. Like the quote above they turn the square into a circle, they make black white and night into day. The bad guy who gets killed by the armed victim is never mentioned, nor is the hero, the media punishes the pillars of our community the licensed firearm owners and glorifies the Martin Bryant’s. They know that this encourages all the other deadbeats who want and need that glorification to repeat the performance. That is the way the enemies of our freedom work. Facts have no part of it they have an agenda with a timetable.

Thoughts for the Week.
In the USA the ‘Blood Dancers’ are going to make a new law, which as usual will be ignored by all but the good harmless victims.
In the USA they are going to make a law, with a mechanism that is typical to what occurs in our country and most western countries.
If we lived in a just society when our leaders, after warnings, purposely left unguarded our most valuable assets, our children to be slain, we would raise up, throw them out of office. In some stricter communities they would justly put them on trial and hang them. As we can clearly see their false flag agenda.
In our mollycoddled, cottonwool society controlled by the one eye god of Barbi and Ken TV commentators, where justice has long ago been sentenced to say in the history books, our leaders like John Howard and now in the USA President Obama sheds a tear and then legislates to punish the innocent who have done no wrong.
We all weep, externally or within when we read of these tragedies and then weep again when we see the political mechanism grinding on the good people, leaving the original problem un addressed, leaving the repository of our women and children undefended, schools, shopping Malls, cinemas ready to be turned into morgues.
When you ban guns you make it more dangerous for the victims and safer for the criminals.
With all these tragedies, the common factor is that the teachers, or staff have been willfully disarmed by government decree, they face jail sentences if they do not obey the law, but the lawless have no regard and kill at will before an armed defender comes from somewhere.
“Guns cause violence, which is why there are so many mass killings at gun shows”????? It Never happen’s.
This makes those government representatives, those who we vote for responsible, they are in fact an accessory to mass murder by their actions of forcibly disarming teachers, parents and staff. This insures that there is never armed resistance.
In every shooting as in any attack, tenths of a second count, the only ones present that have a chance of prevention are the intended victims.
No amount of legislation can prevent these killings in this current one the 20 years old stole the guns, more than likely murdered to get them, the Gun Free Zone did not put him off it encouraged him.
“Washington DC’s low murder rate of 69 per 100,000 is due to strict gun control, and Indianapolis’ high murder rate of 9 per 100,000 is due to the lack of gun control.“
We have admission from our Australian governments that they lose 14,000 firearms off the data system every year, we have our Police selling their service arms, we have the police and the military that have them stolen, so forget forever that the amount of firearms in the community can be controlled they have been doing that here in Australia and Great Britain for a century and it only makes it worse.
“The more helpless you are the safer you are from criminals”, So wrong it can be Dead Wrong.
In the USA, in spite of waiting periods, background checks, finger printing, government forms, etc., guns today are too readily available, which is responsible for recent school shootings. In the 1940′s, 1950′s and 1960′s, anyone could buy guns at hardware stores, army surplus stores, gas stations, variety stores, Sears mail order, no waiting periods, no back-ground check, no fingerprints, no government forms and there were no school shootings.
The Blood Dancers of Policital Theatrics.
After the Columbine school shooting, I and many other writers on this subject brought up the facts that this problem was in epidemic proportions in Israeli schools until there leaders, in 1974 began a program of training and arming volunteer teachers, parents grandparents and even senior students to defend their schools. Since that time there has been no successful mass murders in Israel’s schools. So they have all known what the solution was, but instead they stay silent they plan to remove the rights of the innocent. These politicians and media hacks in every country that follow this agenda are the ‘Blood Dancers”, they are the ‘disarm the victims ghouls’ creatures who use these deaths for their own political advantage. They propose more laws, more controls on the victims leaving them to be murdered by people who will never take a seconds notice of the their stupid laws.
These ‘Blood Dancers’ want to copy the control situation of Britain where the good people are disarmed and incapable of defending themselves, and only the government and outlaws have guns. Where the gangs of fit and young men rule the suburbs, rape the women, beat the elderly to death and the good people are prosecuted for carrying a screwdriver or a pair of scissors to defend themselves. Hang on that’s not just Britain its here in Australia as well.
However in Britain where the ownership of firearms, right to own property the right to defend family and the freedom of speech make North Korea look like a free state their governments(Home Office) latest crime figures soured by 35 percent in general and criminals used handguns in 46 percent more offences that last year. Firearms were used in 9,974 recorded crimes in the 12 months to last April, up form 7,362. It was the forth consecutive year to see a rise.
On the other hand in the USA the Washington Post 18th June 2012 reported, “Last week, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced that violent crime decreased 4 percent in 2011. The number of murders, rapes, robberies and aggravated assaults all went down, continuing a pattern.
“This is not a one-year anomaly, but a steady decline in the FBI’s violent-crime rates,” said Andrew Arulanandam, spokesman for the National Rifle Association. “It would be disingenuous for anyone to not credit increased self-defense laws to account for this decline.”
Mr. Arulanandam pointed out that only a handful of states had concealed-carry programs 25 years ago, when the violent-crime rate peaked. Today, 41 states either allow carrying without a permit or have “shall issue” laws that make it easy for just about any non criminal to get a permit. Illinois and Washington, D.C., are the only places that refuse to recognize the right to bear arms.”
If the gun grabbers were right, we’d be in the middle of a crime wave, considering how many guns are on the streets. “Firearms sales have increased substantially since right after the 2008 election,” said Bill Brassard,

“Free speech entitles one to own newspapers, transmitters, computers, and typewriters, but self-defence only justifies bare hands”
Strange, that the media which should be the champion of ‘Rights’, attacks the right of people to defend themselves, and denies the right of people to freely own property when that same right to own firearms is the one right that can defend all rights including the right to free speech. Firearm Ownership is the one right that protects all the others. Among freedom of speech, of the press, of religion, of assembly, of redress of grievances, it is the first among equals. It alone offers the absolute capacity to live without fear. The right to own firearms is the one right that allows all “rights” to exist at all.
They are temporary Societies not Free Societies.
There is no such thing as a free nation where only the police and military are allowed the force of arms but individual citizens are not. That’s a “big brother knows best” a theatre of the absurd, a creation of a twin society where the armed military are elite task masters and the unarmed are the disposable plebs the slaves, that system has never in human history succeeded in harmonious protection of its civilians. They are temporary Societies not Free Societies.

The Battle For Australia’s Soul,
Freedom IS NOT A FREE RIDE.
Today, as of writing is the 11th of the 11th Remembrance Day, it used to be called Armistice Day, it was the date and time of the Armistice which was signed to end World War One, that was the War to End all Wars so two minutes silence at 11 am was in memoriam for those who died in the name of freedom in that the largest war in World History.
It is a fine tradition, now nearly a hundred year old, shortened to a minutes silence, the eternal flame, eternal no more, is turned on the night before, and in many cases the drummer/ (bugler) has been replaced by a tape recording of the Last Post & Reveille. (I will be there every year, I can) At our local parade, they have even lost the tradition of taking the flag down during last post, the two minutes silence, then raising the flag when reveille is being sounded. They just play both recordings then have the silence. A recording played of the National Anthem, a murmuring as no one knows the words. The Ode, then off and away, don’t think about it for another year.
The Real Meaning Fades Away.
When I was a child, everyone had to have a poppy before the Day, now it’s the TV news readers, the astute politicians and a few old soldiers. It seem like “Old Soldiers never die, they just fade away and so to it seems is the meaning of Remembrance Day, fading from modern understanding.
A FREE PEOPLE.
Our people in past generations were a sovereign free people, the parliament was installed by the people, the Monarch governed by the consent of the governed. The Monarch’s motto ‘Dieu et mon droit’, meaning “God and my right” was a birthright, to rule by birth and the sovereign people had an equal birthright, being born with the rights and freedoms of the realm. That is another forgotten meaning of having the Crown in our courts, on our military badges, we fight for their ‘Right’ they fight for our ‘Rights’. It is now a forgotten contract.
Once it was something worth fighting for, something even worth dying for, expressed so powerfully in the ‘Declaration of Arbroath’,
“It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom — for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.”
Freedom is Not Free, It has to be paid for in the most expensive currency, ‘Blood’.
Our Forefathers, more than likely never expressed it to their mates that way, it something that was thought, but not often said by those who went to war, some with differing national causes, but all wanted to give something back to their country. The country that had given them the best standard of living and the most individual freedoms. They knew that the country and its philosophy, its idealism could only survive as long as it had individuals who would willingly sacrifice their lives for those ideals which their country believed in. Freedom.
Many of them believed so strongly in that ideal that they fought and died so that other countries could obtain that same freedom from tyrants.
We used to think that we passed that spirit to our children in the bloodstream, that it would be now ingrained in future generations, but now it seems that ‘Freedom’, is never more than one generation away and that generation has not fought for it, not valued it, and has nothing to pass on to our children’s children, who being born in slavery have little compression of what it really meant to be free.
So often, when I ask people to make a complaint to there local member of parliament and stand up for their ‘Rights’ , I hear the words, “Oh, I don’t get involved in politics,” as if that somehow makes them smell cleaner. If they are quick they will notice my lip curl, as I think, ‘No’, you don’t smell cleaner you’re a parasite, taking, and giving nothing. To me, that makes them derelict of their duty as a citizen. They are the ones who make it easy for our government to be panderers, thieves and liars. The sanctimonious parasites could not get away with it, if so many Australians did not insist on their right to remain ignorant and blindly agreeable.
They cannot comprehend that someone else had to fight and sacrifice property, wealth, love, family and life itself for their ‘Right’ to hear, nothing, see, nothing, think nothing and worst of all to do nothing. For example the sale of poppies has always raised money for the families of the fallen, or the wounded, but these days everyone expects everything for nothing. Today I heard one women say, “Can I have three”, never an effort made to pay, she just took and commenced to pin one on herself.
Freedom is a Chair with Essential Legs.
The legs of our freedom chair stand, or fall altogether. We have a right to life, to breath the air, we have a right to think and a right to speak, like the birds in the forest we have a right to move, and like the squirrels who works for the nuts, own the nuts, we have the right to own property. The bird has its beak, the lion has its teeth to defend its Rights and Freedoms.
We have a brain to defend ours. That brain makes us the head of the food chain, as it enables us to make tools, those tools are employed by the brain to defend our property, our ‘Rights’, our Freedoms and our Lives. Just take that one leg of the chair away, and all the others are meaningless. We then lose the freedom of choice, the Freedom not to be Green, religious freedom, the freedom not to have a religion, the freedom to think, the freedom to speak and the freedom to petition others to our cause.
Governed by a Minority of Green Tin Pot Tyrants.
Once the spirit, the ideal of Freedom is lost, tin pot tyrants can use and abuse our Constitutional Monarchy, our totally un responsive, ‘representative’ government, who use pure democracy, the media mob, the unmitigated rule of the current green minority to degenerate what was once the finest and free ‘ist’ into despotism and tyranny.
We Are Enslaved When We allow our Politicians to
Take Our Money and donate it to causes that buys them votes.
All this without thinking might not be at first evident to you, until the film over our eyes, created by the electronic god of television is removed. These days school begins in the living room where our children are moulded into socialistic robots who then think that the State can control and supply free education, free food, free money, free rent with no sympathy at all for those whom that money and property is stolen from. Even when you show our youth that the government debt for its handouts will impact on their future, they still vote for those who offer them the most handouts
Working When Other Take Our Reward is Slavery.
The State has disarmed us and now restrict knives and scissors, they have turned a Right into a State licence with which they can use to control you. The State has removed your Mineral Rights to your land, it removes your right to clear and farm your land, it controls what you grow and what you are allowed to sell. The State taxes you, effectively steals from you every time you use their currency. The State takes from the poor workers and gives it to those who do nothing except vote for those politicians, who promise to steal more, to give their voters.
Those freeloaders are now a majority. In every western country, our forefathers fought against this tyranny in World War Two, now that meaning has faded away and Socialism is accepted everywhere.
We Sold Ourselves Into Slavery.
Due to our apathy and the handful of oppressors who first gained control of the minds of the academics in our universities who trained the journalists, the lawyers the politicians they schooled our leaders who accepted the responsibility over our lives that we should have accepted for ourselves. By doing so, they took our power. By doing nothing, we gave it away. We’ve seen where their way leads, through camps and wars, towards the slaughterhouse.
Already they disarm us, they take our property even from the mail, they take our property, our mineral rights, our right to grow food, our right to clear the land that we own, the right to own an animal, our right to buy a health vitamin yet they forcefully medicate us with fluoride. They force their political will with there political police, a police force that serves the government, not the people. These days Police leave us defenceless, we are not allowed to defend ourselves, the police only defend the State and take from the people, they are the modern day tax collectors, raising money for the robber baron the State.
Not a Little War But A Large War for A New Century.
Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu the current Prime Minister of Israel has sworn to remove the Iranian nuclear threat before his next term of office Jan 22nd 2013. Iran is allied to Russia, Turkey and Israel is allied to the USA. Islam is allied to all, that hate Israel.
Obedience or Death?
Will the next generation of soldiers follow the same format as the Russians who fought for Black Joe Stalin and the Germans fought for Hitler, dying for different styles of socialism? Like myself and thousands since, Disarmed when De mobbed.
Real freedom, as understood by the men of Arbroth or our forefathers will not be on offer to any of the nations dragged into it, but the young men will still fight as they must, or their own States will kill them anyway.
Without Lots of NEW Youthful Recruits to our Cause We have Missed the Freedom Bus.
Where does all this depressing information take us, well hopefully, (if I believed in Leprechauns at the bottom of our garden) it inspires some our younger shooters to realise, to taste what real freedom is all about. Its not about the weekly night club booze up, its not about computer game warfare. Now, our youth are all players in their own future freedom, they either decide to fight for it, or watch it go further away like missing a Bus that will never return.
I have been writing articles like this one for 32 years, I will be 65 next birthday, I have devoted years of my life to this cause, because I believe it was my duty to give back to those who before me, gave much more, life itself, for the Freedoms I used to enjoy. I believed that if the candle of freedom was still alight it had a chance of turning a black room into daylight. Many of my contemporaries, Norm Segal, Tony Pitt, Arthur Tuck, Jeremy Lee, have died, many others have faded away, fortunes have been spent on campaigns opposing Gun laws, our families have born the cost.
I am running out of contemporaries, I am running out of years, even if I hang in, doing this until I am ninety unless our youth, our new shooters take up the cause of freedom, freedom will be like the fading away of Remembrance Day, it will be something to learn about at school, something we still have in name only. The reason why our forefathers sacrificed their lives will be changed from the meaning of real freedom, to nationalism, they will turn nationalism into a dirty word, and countless millions of lives and the cause they sacrificed for, will never be remembered. See,… you have already forgotten.
Ron Owen.

“It’s a week since I received a copy of “Range Officers Hand Book” and since that time I am nearly at the half way mark. I’m amazed at the at the number of subjects you have covered making it one of the most informative books to be added to my collection. Slimline Electronic Ear Muffs

Hear and Protect Hear normally up to 85 db Electronically reduces & protects hearing Protects hearing above 85 db Able to hear normal conversations and sounds to 85 decibels. Over 200 hours of battery life. Auto-adjust headband. Solid state circuit. Rotary on-off volume knob. HOW THE ELECTRONIC EAR MUFFS WORK These electronic ear muffs are a high standard ear muff in design, they are made to feel light and comfortable for all day use. They can be used as standard ear muff when the electronic component is not turned on and will passively reduce noise like any normal ear muff. They have a standard noise reduction rating of 29 decibel and are a Class 5. Once turned on the microphone, located at the top of the ear muff, will pick up and amplify ambient noise. If some one standing next to you talks, their voice will be amplified through the speakers in both ear muffs. Should there be a loud noise, such as a firearm, the electronic ear muffs will automatically cut out and block the loud noise. The electronic ear muffs are designed to attenuate noise about 85 decibels, meaning that they will block out instantly, once the noise reaches a certain level. The electronic ear muffs allow you to control the volume level of ambient noise around you. On the shooting range with constant loud reports, the electronic ear muffs will block this noise. For range instructions or to communicate with another person, you can instantly hear them speak. At the range or anywhere ear protection is constantly required, but you also need to hear instructions from others or you wish to be more aware of the ambient sound around you, these electronic ear muffs are what you need. $75.50 plus post.

AGAIN, THE ENEMY WITHIN, STABS US IN THE BACK.
After nearly fifteen years of regular further impositions into our lives our new Minister of Police announced a new Ministerial Weapons Advisory Panel with the intention of reducing Red Tape from the Weapons Licencing Branch. Reducing Staff, and payrolls for the state by lessoning the impositions on the Licensed shooters. The Qld Shooting Association (of which Pistol Shooting Queensland is a member) has formulated a 10 point plan (at the Police Minister’s request), which has been submitted. This plan is the various shooting associations’ proposal to assist and advance the processing systems at Weapons Licencing. This plan is being evaluated now by a working committee
Great News the result of much good work by many good people. More than likely putting further tasks on Firearm Dealers as they are doing 95 % of the processing work for no cost to the state already. Legislation requires that they do these tasks at their cost, not at the cost of the state. They process the paper work, check the licences, check the Make Model of firearm, serial numbers, check the categories are correct enter it in the Police registers, and forward all the information to the Weapons Licencing. Besides, spending weeks auditing their current stocks and forwarding that to the Police as well. It is onerous, but as they know the product there are less stuff ups, and at the Gun shop end, it works.
Every shooter I know is ardently looking forwards to some improvements in the tyranny that they are forced to deal with. Surely every licensed shooter in Australia wants less red tape, waste of time and money in participating in our sport our hobby, or to defend our livelihoods and life itself. We the innocent are punished by the State for the crimes of others. You can have 90 drive by shootings in Sydney the Police will not get one conviction and there only answer will be to make the Licenced Shooter pay more, suffer more, and lose more of his rights.
At the Police end it does not work, out of 100 registrations 80 will have an in corrections in it somewhere. We have to seriously consider what use this system is to anyone at all.
In Queensland we all are aware that the Weapons Licencing legislation is misdirected unwieldily, costly, error ridden, un workable, and has not saved a life or solved a crime.
For many years, certain shooters have been involved in lobbying, cajoling, and annoying politicians into bringing a little more sanity into this State designed tyranny that shooters have to operate under.
The Queensland Shooters Association called a meeting and all their affiliated clubs including Pistol Shooting Queensland all agreed on these ten points.
You can tell by the first few points that Pistol Shooters have the rough end of the deal and have the most onerous and ridicules impositions to deal with. Great sympathy and effort was devoted to improve to ensure that this was included in the 10 points.
On the 18th September the first meeting was held and even though the Minister had invited Ian Lavers from the Queensland Police Union as he had much criticisms to express, to the meeting in the previous week, he did not turn up at the meeting. Apparently the meeting was successful and they meet again next month.
Then came the BETRAYAL ABC 7.30 report
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-09-21/shooters-warn-against-wide-ranging-gun-changes/4275062
“Gun ownership has been expanding in Australia as well as here. Enough, that there’s starting to be movement to loosen their gun laws. This has gun control groups in Australia concerned. But that’s not all who’s concerned. Michelle Sandstrom represents Pistol Shooting Queensland, which has Olympic shooters as members:
MICHELLE SANDSTROM, PISTOL SHOOTING QUEENSLAND:
“I was concerned when I saw the panel. We DON’T really see that there’s a great need to make it easier to own a firearm in our discipline and in our sport category.”
PETER McCUTCHEON: Michelle Sandstrom is the President of Pistol Shooting Queensland, a competition focussed sporting group which has Olympians as members. While some in the firearm community complain about undergoing a policeman checks before even joining a club like this, Michelle Sandstrom isn’t fussed.
PETER McCUTCHEON: “So red tape isn’t always necessarily bad?”
MICHELLE SANDSTROM: “No it’s not always bad at all; it can actually work in your favour to be honest.”
Within hours this was echoed by other anti guns sites. http://www.police.com.au/shooters-warn-against-qld-gun-laws-changes/
It went world wide, the following comments on an American website shows they were obviously shocked by it. They said this.
“Just like it worked in favor of Olympic shooters in Britain, who now can’t legally train in their own country? Is Ms. Sandstrom sure she’s not another mass shooting away from having to train in New Zealand? This group sounds to me like it’s filled with people who want to feel like a privileged elite, and view the regulations as a means to keep undesirable riffraff out of their sport. You’ll find the same attitude here too, but in general, one of the keys to our success here in the US has come about by enforcing a strict orthodoxy on those who claim to be part of the community.
Most of these organizations are dependent on people joining and donating money to support them. If this had been USA Shooting, you’d see calls for boycotts. You’d see people refusing to give them money or support. They’d be ostracized from the greater shooting community. We’d also, no doubt, have many Olympic shooters condemning the organization for that position, and who would apply pressure within. In short, we’d circle the wagons and eradicate the cancer, not all the dissimilar to what we did with Smith & Wesson back when they cut a deal with the Clinton Administration, or more recently with Recoil Magazine. If Aussies really want this to keep going forward, the first thing you need to do is put pressure on organizations like Pistol Shooting Queensland to get in line.”
I totally agree with our American cousin, and will lobby companies like Frontier Arms, and Winchester to cross Pistol Shooters Queensland off their sponsorship list. They both do not need adverse publicity like this from Pistol Shooters Queensland.
How do we describe a betrayal like this, how do the people feel who have put years of work to bring welcome reform to this tyrannical legislation. Their work destroyed by a few insane words on prime time government Television. The best piece I can think of is by Cicero. “A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.” I suppose the only difference to this, is that in this instance it was a woman.
Trading With the Enemy.
I have an admission, I am ashamed to say that for many years I was a member of the for runner of Pistol Shooting Queensland, The Queensland Amateur Pistol Association, but never again, I could never again be a part of an organisation that opposes its own members human rights.
Pistol Shooting Queensland, has been known for years for holding back the growth in pistol shooting due to its extraordinary high dual membership requirements and falsely claiming ownership of every pistol competition in the Country, by a claim of copyrighting the rule books when the competitions themselves predate are older than Pistol Shooting Queensland and its former name Queensland Amateur Pistol Association. Last year they tried to convince Weapons Licencing that pistol shooters could only comply with shooting competition requirements if they were affiliated with Pistol Shooting Queensland. As they claimed copyright on the competition rule books. Nonsense, as claiming copyright has to be proved in Court, as the competitions are older and already used by other clubs they would have had a very expensive time paying out everyone else’s court costs. As there membership had dropped off to near nothing, they have to over charge to keep themselves in a job and an office, desperation was close. The wolf was at the door. I am told that a club like the Brisbane Metropolitan Pistol club with over 400 members might have 6 who are affiliated with Pistol Shooting Queensland. Our local club that had 120 plus members had 3 affiliated. Many country clubs have larger membership than Pistol Shooting Queensland but unlike them get no, government grants, training bursaries, trips to the Olympics, or a position on the Queensland Weapons Advisory Committee.

So why do we have so little impact on our legislators when we are not a minority we are a huge majority in comparison to the forces against us?
There are two answers;
One) is that our few opponents have more commitment they will go the extra mile to impress TV stations and journalist that they have the will of the majority and that we shooters are a minority.
Two) is that we continue to have ‘traitors within’ who fully believe that they gain credibility and government grants, full time paid jobs, trips overseas to the Olympics and Commonwealth Games, so stick with the government bureaucracy that they feed off .

Lessons in Shooting at School.
The moron who is the CEO of the Queensland Police Union Ian Leavers came out again crucifying Licenced Shooters.
Queensland Police Union president Ian Leavers said students’ access to weapons would desensitise them to the “extreme dangers of guns” resulting in a “sure-fire recipe for death and disaster”.
“Police don’t want another Columbine High School massacre in a Queensland school like we’ve seen in the United States which could well be an inevitability of this policy,” he said.
”It seems Education Queensland think the three R’s stand for reading, writing and reloading.”
Where do they find these pea brains, who without thinking make claims such as owning a firearm is a privilege not a right, No one has the right to carry firearms. None of them ‘think’, they just reiterate miss information and other idiots idea’s.
Do they ever think? Does a bird have a right to carry its beak and claws? Does a buffalo have the right to have horns? Does a crocodile have a right to carry its teeth? does a squirrel have a right to own the nut that it won from the tree?
They are the Laws of Nature.
Where does the right come from for the policeman to carry his gun? Where does the right come from for the soldier to carry his gun?
Whose property is my body? Mine. I have to regard it as so. If I experiment with it, who must be answerable ? I not the State. If a man has the right to self ownership, to the control of his life, then in the real world he must also have the right to sustain his life by grappling with and transforming resources; he must be able to own the ground and the resources on which he stands and he must use. In short to sustain his “human right”.
No power on earth has a right to take our property from us without our consent. Tools manufactured by the human brain are the natural defence of the weak against the strong, if that was not so the human race would not exist. Do we deny the disabled the right of self defence, without a peacemaker we are denying them the right to equal force?
“Whenever the legislators endeavor to take away and destroy the property of the people, or to reduce them to slavery under arbitrary power, they put themselves into a state of war with the people, who are thereupon absolved from any further obedience, and are left to the common refuge which God hath provided for all men against force and violence.” John Locke, Two Treatises of Government, 1698.

SPEAK OUT NOW, OR SUFFER FOR ANOTHER 15 YEARS.
Police Fight to Save Administration Jobs, With Lies.
In past Centuries tools were used by tyrants to suppress the people, swords, Guns, Bows, and the Lance, but all it takes in the 21st Century is ‘Words’. Well not all words but to be more specific ‘Lies’. Within one week we have had two lies, used to mislead the politician’s and the general public first one on August 27, 2012 by Queensland Police Union President Ian Leavers, stating,
“Statistically, since 2000, police are just as likely to be killed by licensed firearm owners,” to the Brisbane Times. Then to the Courier Mail on the 28th he slandered every lawful firearm owner in Queensland again, “Since 2000, half the police gunned down in the line of duty were killed by licensed firearms owners.” Repeated again, “However, Mr Leavers said Queenslanders were just as likely to get shot by a legal firearm user, which was the case for Norm Watt and Perry Irwin – two officers fatally shot since 2000.” PRMEDITATED He had been challenged on his information on the 27th and this later report on the 28th in the Courier Mail was his premeditated reply. While we cannot locate information on a, trial or coroners report to confirm the Licence status of the shooter of Norman J. Watt in the year 2000. We can state that in the inquest into the deaths of PERRY James IRWIN by DAMIEN LAWRENCE COATES Coroner’s Court FILE NO(s): COR 721/04(2) DELIVERED ON: 07 October 2005,by Mr Michael Barnes, the State Coroner states, Page 15 “Mr Coates was not licensed to use a firearm”.
Just in case, Mr Leavers had wanted to use it as an excuse, that he had quoted the wrong Policeman’s name, I found another corners inquest into the deaths of Constable Brett Andrew IRWIN by Craig Anthony SEMYRAHA Coroner’s Court FILE NO(s): COR 3311/07(4) and COR 3338/07(0) DELIVERED ON: 06 October 2009 by Mr Michael Barnes, It is quite clear from that report that SEMYRAHA did not have a Firearms Licence either.
So ‘Watt’ in the year 200 could be a “Maybe” and two definitely have not had licences, Constable Damian Leeding was shot June 1, 2011, at the Gold Coast but no one has been found guilty yet of that deed so no one can ascertain if they had a licence or not.
Lying Is An Unfortunate Habit.
On April 18, 2012 Queensland Police Union president Ian Leavers said “the service had seen a rise in gun crime over the past two years, particularly with criminals arming themselves with handguns.” “Gun crime, in general, has been on the increase in Queensland,” he said. Before making a statement like that person who was representing other people and supposedly speaking on behalf of public safety should have consulted his own departments latest figures; Queensland Police Annual Statistical Review 2010 –11 states Weapons Act Offences
“The rate of weapons act offences decreased by 3% from 76 offences per 100,000 persons in 2009/10 to 74 offences per 100,000 persons in 2010/11.”
PROFIT, At Our Expense. So why would this powerful Police union boss, say such things? Well more money for his members, more staff working under them gets them a bigger pay scale, a seat on the new Firearm Consultative committee could lift his profile into preselection into a State Labour safe seat in parliament? It is amazing what profit can be gained from a lie at our expense. Yes, due to that lie the Police Minister rewarded him by appointing him to the committee. Was it all to cover the fact that only 3 Policemen were murdered in the 15 years, prior to the registration of firearms legislation, and 4 Policemen in 15 years after the introduction of the legislation? No, more than likely it will be because of money. Why would the Police Minister put someone on the Firearm Consultative Committee with a reputation for lying like this. Maybe, he does not know that the Police Union rep is just trying To Protect, “Salaries”
NEW Police Commissioner For the State’s Largest Criminal Organisation. (30 Years of Constant Crime Commissions Have Never Suppressed its Operations.)
Then to finish the week off we have our new incoming Police Commissioner Ian Stewart who joins a rogues gallery of Commissioners Terry Lewis, Jim O Sullivan, Bob Atkinson, to lead an organisation that has been under investigation by a specific Crime Commission for 25 years. He made these comments to the ABC News ‘Gold Coast’ 4th September.
“We see it every second day where a house is broken into and a firearm is stolen.”
This again is nonsense, another lie with a political objective, self importance, more jobs for the boys at the expense of the licensed shooters. He gives the impression that every second house is broken into and a firearm is stolen.
Queensland Police Annual Statistical Review 2010 –11, “Unlawful Entry which is house breaking 43,024 offences were reported to police in 2010/11.”
Well, if the new Police Commissioner is giving a truthful impression we should be looking for over 20,000 stolen firearms, but the last Police Commissioner Mr Atkinson stated in the Courier Mail April 20, 2012,
“500 firearms had been stolen last year.”
A great difference and Mr Atkinson figures seem a little more realistic when compared with the figures quoted in the Annual Statistical Review 2010 –11 as it records, “Unlawful possession of a Firearm as ‘125′ 2009-2019, and a decrease to ‘117′ for 2010.”
This information was only released in June 2012 so it would be difficult to imagine that we were suffering from a massive increase of stolen firearms, since then.
Do They Care, If Homes Are Broken Into? What would be more difficult to imagine, is if the Queensland Police knew or cared that a firearm was stolen, as when a break in reported the response from the police is very hum drum, lucky if they bother to come out and look, well its even more paper work. How many convictions occur from the 43,024 offences reported 96 ??? Even at that figure it does not explain if it is 96 different people, or 8 people with 10 offences each and 1 person with 6 offences, again we are left guessing.
Would We Be Better Off Without Police ?
With figures like this we have to wonder, would we be better off without Police at all. It would be cheaper. We could get more insurance and leave it to the insurance companies to catch people and take them to court. We have to look after our own security anyway. Now politicians are even legislating to order citizens to fit bars and steel doors and alarms which are further admissions that they cannot organise a Police Force to protect our lives and property.
We all have to ask, where has the registration of 600,000 firearms, saved a life, or solved a crime? Australian Institute of Criminology 2012, reports, ” Firearms were used in 13 percent of homicides”.So why all the big fuss and expense about licenced firearms are they really going to register all the other tools? ?? So is it POWER, CONTROL, or MONEY? Ron Owen. PLEASE CONTACT BY LETTER, BY EMAIL AND BY PHONE YOUR LOCAL STATE POLITICAN, OR POLICE MINISTER, OR IF YOU ARE INTER STATE, PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO ANOTHER SHOOTER IN QUEENSLAND AND TELL THEM ALL ABOUT POLICE LIES AND THE BREAK DOWN OF QUEENSLANDS LICENCE AND REGISTRATION SYSTEM . ASK, The POLICE MINISTER JACK DEMPSEY, “where has the registration of 600,000 firearms, saved a life, or solved a crime?” jack.dempsey@ministerial.qld.gov.au
WHAT NEEDS TO BE CHANGED QUICKLY. The Alteration, ‘Permit To Aquire’ Applications Issued by Dealer Instead of Police Administration Staff. When the Licensed shooter wishes to purchase a long arm he selects one at the licensed Firearm Dealer, provides his license (and the money) the Dealer checks the photo, checks that it is current, (as he has to do now) checks his current address from his driving licence or other ID. He writes out a Permit to Acquire which has a triplicate copy. One for the customer, to prove he was the registered owner. One for the QPS one for the Dealers records. (As he does now already) The Dealer fills in the Licensed shooter details into the register along side the details of the firearm. (As he has to do now) The Dealer, within 14 days post the copy of the PTA signed by the licenced shooter and the dealer to QPS (as he has to do now). The QPS update the electronic register (as they have to do now). Quick easy, done on the spot, The only alteration to the legislation required is that the Dealer provides the Permit to Acquire after he ascertains that 1. the licence is bonafide and 2. the firearm is in the Category that the licence states they are licensed for. (As he has to do now)
This same procedure can be completed by a dealer for a brokerage to transact a firearm between two licensed shooters. The Dealer is made responsible under the current act for carrying out these duties with repairs, and records the transaction with a form 10 to QPS and when selling to other licensed Firearm Dealers within Australia and within 14 days those form 10s are sent to QPS and the dealer register registers the transaction. So in effect all the legislation for carrying out this alteration is already in place it is just a legislative change of procedure. That retains registration and free’s up the police staff to carry out much more important procedures. Ron Owen.

Due to the New Feeding Frenzy on Gun Laws by the Media following the disaster in the Aurora Cinema it seemed to be more fitting to supply an article in answer to this, so I have postphoned the two regular articles Accurate Firearm Design and Understanding Reloading Ammunition until Edition 71.
The Cause and Effect of Media Hype.
The Effect
Words must be said about the latest ghoulish feeding frenzy of the Anti Gun Lobby and their media hirelings. Loss, Anguished, Torment, Heartbreak Grief. It is impossible for words to describe what the families of the victims are suffering. Our sympathy seems so utterly
Inadequate, but sympathy is genuinely felt by firearm owners for those bereaved.
Not so with the Media and the anti gunner, they do not wait for the blood to stop flowing before they revel in it. They publicise it, they magnify every detail, they make maniacs into heros and heros into maniacs. They have turned the world upside down. They give instant immortality to Manchurian candidates, who have been programmed by the media, by the state, the entertainment industry to have no respect for human life.
At the same time, they remove the blame, the whole responsibility of the crime from the immortalised maniac to the inanimate object the firearm. They blame firearm owners for the crime. They split their focus on to the glorification of the maniac, removing his responsibility and condemning firearm ownership. Incorrectly, creating firearms and firearm owners as the cause, where in fact they are the produced victims of the media bashing.

Firearm Owners have found no justice. The rich win, the poor are powerless. We become tired of hearing people lie. And after a time, a little dead. We think of ourselves as victims and we become victims. We become weak. We doubt ourselves. We doubt our beliefs. We doubt our institutions. And we doubt the law.
The media is so powerful, that after they had picked the bones clean on their Port Arthur campaign, law abiding firearm owners dutifully queued to hand over their 100 year old heirlooms, mostly for no compensation to the government crushers.
The powerbrokers, who manufacture the consent of the public, forcing legislation which ignores the cause and concentrates specifically on the tool, which is part of the effect, condemns us to the repetition of such acts. This fact is so obvious that it raises doubts in either their integrity or sanity. A political agenda, or Dr Strangelove madness.
The Cause.
All to sate the greed of these academic social engineers who have taken education into the wilderness of anything goes, destroyed marriage, families, removed the death penalty, no morals, no logic, no blame, and making the State responsible, to feed the people from the cradle to the grave. Without responsibility people relinquish their freedom. That seems to be the objective of the Social engineers. They educate our younger generations into believing that they have no responsibility and that their only allegiance is to their own self gratification. No responsibility to family, their country, a religion. No they have replaced all this with self gratification, if it feels good do it. Yet, they act surprised when the products of their Manchurian mind games go out and kill people with less emotion than a housewife using fly spray.
In days gone by, soldier returning from the battlefields, many who had seen repeated, horrific bloodshed, had little compassion to spare for human life, even their own, they had inured themselves from the psychological scars. These days our youths have viewed ten thousand deaths on the video screen and taken part in a million murders in computer games. Human life is now not worth a bowl of cherries. We have programmed our youth to behave in a similar fashion to the Japanese of the 1930s and 1940s who had no regard for the lives of their conquered nations and had little regard for their own lives, as their lives belonged to the deity of the god like emperor. Likewise our youths, new god is the messages given to them on an electronic screen, reality and responsibility have been lost. The people sending these messages are the cause of our discontent.
Logic Should End the Feeding Frenzy.
If a drunken driver crashes through a bus stop and kills nine children and two parents, do we blame the effect, the car, or the cause the drunken driver? In these cases without media hype, we immediately blame the cause, the driver. Yet, in all cases of misbehaviour with a firearm they blame the effecting tool.
Statistics and figures are used to condemn the innocent law-abiding firearm owner yet in 2002 five years after John Howard’s un informed gun laws were enacted the Australian Bureau of Criminology acknowledged there is no correlation between gun control and the use of firearms in violent crime. Then Australia’s Bureau of Statistics on Crime and Research acknowledged that the gun laws had no significant impact on the amount of guns involved in crime. That should have been the end of it, but that information is not the news that sells advertising.
Main stream media never wish to publish both sides of a debate they omit entirely the statistics that are pro-firearms such as.
The most recent FBI figures show just 358 of the 8,775 murders by firearm in 2010 involved rifles. By comparison, 745 people were beaten to death with only hands that year, but no one has called for outlawing of fists.
Guns don’t kill people, doctors kill people.’
In Britain Six thousand patients are dying every year because hospital staff are not properly monitoring important vital signs, such as blood oxygen levels how can firearms compete with death rates like this, that are ignored as they do not suit the social engineers’ agenda.
We all lose the reality to a certain degree, due to the size of the numbers that are quoted as facts and statistics the 700,000 Doctors in the United States, cause 120,000 Accidental Deaths per year that is Accidental Deaths per physician is 0.171. Statistics U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services.
The number of gun owners in the U.S. is at least 80,000,000. (New figures quote 90 Million) The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is 1,500. The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is 0.0000188, Statistics from FBI.
So, statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners. This means you are over 9,000 times more likely to be killed by a doctor as by a gun owner!!!
The media is quick to compare armed crime figures with between Australia and the United States, who do not have our extremist tyrannical gun laws, yet both countries have shared similar decreases in murder rates over the last 22 years. In Australia in 2006, assault rose 49.2 percent and robbery 6.2 percent. Sexual assault, Australia’s equivalent term for rape, increased 29.9 percent. Overall, Australia’s violent crime rate rose 42.2 percent.
Through 2010, the USA murder rate has decreased 52 percent to a 47-year low, and the total violent crime rate has decreased 48 percent to a 37-year low
Between 1995 and 2007, Australia saw a 31.9 percent decrease in violent crime rates yet The United States without our extremist Gun laws dropped by 31.7 percent.
During the same time period, all other violent crime indices, besides murder increased in Australia. Assault rose 49.2 percent and robbery 6.2 percent. Sexual assault, Australia’s nice words for rape, increased 29.9 percent. Overall, Australia’s violent crime rate rose 42.2 percent.
At the same time, United States violent crime decreased 31.8 percent: rape dropped 19.2 percent; robbery decreased 33.2 percent; aggravated assault dropped 32.2 percent. Australian women are now raped more than three times as often as American women.
The FBI has preliminarily reported a four percent drop in the number of violent crimes from 2010 to 2011. The 18th drop in the last 20 years. Violent crime is now at about a 41-year low. The NRA responded that crime has decreased as the number of Right-to-Carry states has risen to an all-time high as 49 U.S. states either issue carry permits, or otherwise authorize law-abiding people to carry firearms outside the home for self-defence.
The International Crime Victims Survey, conducted by Leiden University in Holland, found that England and Wales ranked second overall in violent crime amongst all industrialized nations. Twenty-six percent of English citizens, roughly one-quarter of the population, have been victimized by violent crime. Australia led the list with more than 30 percent of its population victimized. The United States didn’t even make the “top 10″ list of industrialized nations whose citizens were victimized by crime.
So, if the United States follows the suggestion of Gun Control Australia and the Australian media and follow Australia’s lead in banning guns, it should expect a 42 percent increase in violent crime, a higher percentage of murders committed with a firearm, and three times more rape.
The Media Brainwash.
Capitalizing on the tragedy of a mass murder is Ghoulish. The anti-gun forces are surging forward with their plans for total gun confiscation. If law-abiding private citizens were disarmed, they claim, criminals and crazies would be unable to kill and maim. That’s an obvious lie–criminals, by definition, disobey laws, and madmen can kill with cars, bombs, Sarin gas, poison in the Panadol, Fire (Childers Backpackers) or beer bottles, as easily and as senselessly as they can with guns.
The media’ purpose seems to elicit fear in the mind of the viewer and to convince us to live in constant fear of our surroundings. The media try to brainwash us into associating guns with bad people. Don’t you cringe when the media shows images of the man caught importing a ‘how to be a gunsmith manual’ by mail order, off the internet? The police cars, the Customs, the Army bomb squad ready and waiting. The photos of his little “Arsenal” half a dozen rifles all sprawled out on a bed, the long images of the Army boots beneath the bed (as if those things are inherently evil)? Then they show some poor man whose has been dragged from his bed, roughly dressed, naturally scruffy, un happy scowling photo of the alleged “bad guy”. It might even turn out that this bad guy was innocent after all, but it doesn’t matter. All they want is the association. If you have a firearm then you’re like that bad man on TV. The more people are afraid, the more they will willingly give up their rights and even demand that those in power take them away from themselves, in order to protect us from ourselves. The media will never discuss the innumerable cases where law-abiding citizens defend themselves and others from certain death using guns. They never discuss how many crimes are deterred due to the presence of firearms. That might convince viewers that firearms can be used to protect people.
